Requiem
by Lauren Oliver
Publication date: March 5, 2013 from HarperTeen
Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.
After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven — pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.
I still haven’t read Pandemonium!!! FAIL FOR ME! >_<
Hmm, I’m afraid to read the synopsis because I’ve yet to read book two in this series. Isn’t it called Pandemonium. I have it on my iphone in audio format. I LOVE L. Oliver. She’s quickly becoming on of my favorite authors. I’ve read a couple of her middle grade books and loved them too. Nice pick for this week. Hope you get to enjoy it really soon.
There isn’t TOO much spoiler in the synopsis, but a bit! I really enjoyed Pandemonium, but cliffhanger! If I could, I’d go back and wait until closer to this one’s release before reading book two 😀
Oh no! Another cliffhanger. Hope it wasn’t as nasty as Delirium, that was just evil! I may wait until this one is out and then complete the series, thanks for the heads up.
Ooooh! I think I have another book I need to add to my TBR list!!! Thanks for spotlighting it and bring it to my attention!! Please check out my WoW!
I still need to read Pandemonium, although I hate cliffhangers and lately I’m feeling a little wary of sequels (hopefully that will be remedied soon enough). Considering they’re usually nowhere near as good as the first.
My WOW
Can’t wait to read where this series will be going next, and how it will end. Great pick!
